A sampling of events throughout the Washington region in celebration of the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr.:

SUNDAY

MONDAY

"LET FREEDOM RING" CONCERT, with performances by India.Arie and the Let Freedom Ring Choir, co-sponsored by Georgetown University. 6 p.m., Kennedy Center, Concert Hall, 2700 F St. NW.
