DESIGN, DRINK & BE MERRY-THE CRAFT BEER ART MOVEMENT
DATE & TIME: Exhibition: June 26th-July 21, 2010
LOCATION: 2nd Floor, Rolf & Renate Schmidt Gallery in the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts, 201 Washington Street, Reading
PHONE: 610-374-4600
DETAILS: This is the only exhibiton in the country devoted exclusively to art created by America's craft breweries. "Design, Drink & Be Merry" seeks to honor all of the talent, energy and hard work that go into creating a beer or brewery's visual identity. By taking the art off of a bottle label (or case, or website) and hanging it on a gallery wall, we try to open people's eyes to the truly remarkable things that are going on in the design world of the craft beer industry. This exhibition is designed to honor a few dozen breweries, selected from the thousands in the U.S., that have consistently gone above and beyond the industry standard in the creation of their beers' visual identity. Great Beer and Great Art! Proceeds benefit the GoggleWorks After School Arts Program.
