One is at Verkhoyansk, Siberia, where the mean temperature in the coldest month (January) is -50.3°C, the mean annual temperature is -17.2°C, and the lowest temperature ever recorded was -67°C. The other cold pole is at Snag, Yukon, where the mean temperature in the coldest month (January) is -28.1°C, the mean annual temperature is -5.8°C, and the lowest recorded temperature is -63°C.
