Fact of the Day

Fact of the Day : Which building in New Zealand is nicknamed Darth Vader's pencil box? (from Brewer's Dictionary of Modern Phrase & Fable)

Darth Vader's pencil box. A facetious nickname applied to the Bank of New Zealand Head Office building in Wellington, New Zealand. It dates from the early 1980s, when George Lucas's initial STAR WARS films were at the height of their success, and the building's shape and sinister black non-reflective cladding called to mind their chief villain.
