piña colada A piña colada is a long drink made from pineapple juice, coconut milk, and rum which enjoyed a certain vogue in the mid to late 1970s. In Spanish the term means literally ‘strained pineapple’ (unfortunately, perhaps, for the drink's would-be sophisticated image, colada is related to English colander).
