How I Became a Pirate

How I Became a Pirate, Yocum Institute for Arts Education

Thursday, October 11, 2012 7:00pm Saturday, October 13, 2012 11:00 am & 2:00 pm (School Show: Thursday, October 11, 2012 10:00 am) Tickets: $12 Adult, $10 Child

With a fun musical adaption of the popular book by Melinda Long, Yocum Institute for Arts Education's Primary Stages returns to perform a story of swashbuckling adventure. Young Jeremy Jacobs gets to live his dream when he's invited to join Black Braid and his pirate crew as they search for a place to bury their treasure. Jeremy is excited to learn pirate talk, sing sea chanteys, and throw food; but soon he miss the comfort of bedtime stories and good-night kisses. A story of finding one's own heart - a path that can't be found on any treasure map!

Community Engagement Activity: Children's craft workshop following the 11am performance. Registration required; please call the Miller Center box office at 610.607.6270 for more information.
