We're Going Wild!
Thanks to the overwhelming success of Dinosaurs: T-Rex Face-to-Face, we're introducing a brand new lineup of animal-themed exhibitions from
Sept. 29, 2012 - Jan. 13, 2013.
Animal Secrets
Come explore the hidden habitats and secret lives of forest animals in this exhibit specially designed for kids ages three to eight and their families. Animal Secrets is organized into four naturalistic environments -- the stream, the meadow, the woodland, and the cave -- each filled with hands-on activities for the whole family to enjoy! Discover these parts of nature from an animal's point of view.
Predators
Discover the world of the most dangerous animals from around the globe and throughout history! Predators is divided into three Life Zones -- water, air and land -- in a 2,000 square foot exhibit that highlights how different animals are equipped to fulfill their specific roles in the natural world. Watch these animals come to life with activities like the Carnivore Café and Wolf-Charades. Or step into a diving cage that brings you face-to-face with a life-like Great White Shark!
Animals in Glass by Taylor Backes
This special exhibition in our Cove Gallery features creatures made by well-known glass artist Will Dexter of Taylor Backes Studio in Boyertown. A gathering of birds, turtles, fish and other sea animals made of glass will create a dynamic aquatic environment in the space. Dozens of examples of Dexter's work will be included in this luminous display.
Animals in Art
Stop by our Works on Paper Gallery for Animals in Art, which features nearly thirty animal-themed works from our own impressive collection. Etchings, engravings, lithographs and watercolors from the renaissance through contemporary times will be included.
