The State Library to open on 2nd Saturday of each month starting April 13, 2013


Harrisburg, PA– The State Library of Pennsylvania is excited to announce that starting April 13, 2013 they will open the Main Reading Room on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 9:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. The library is located on the 1st floor of the Forum Building at 607 South Drive, Harrisburg, PA.

The State Library has so much to offer everyone from the genealogist to the student researcher. The library has Pennsylvania newspaper microfilm and family histories to search for family members to biographies of everyone from Ben Franklin to Andy Warhol. With over 1,000,000 titles and miles of microfilm there is something for everyone.
