| Reyna Mendez- RACC 2009 |
She continued her education at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, the City University of New York (CUNY) and earned a Bachelor's of Science in Criminal Justice Management, Class of 2013.
Reyna reflected on her time at RACC.
“As alumni, I feel that the greatest asset of the Reading Area Community College is The Yocum Library. They provided me with access to online databases, internet ready computers and most importantly, the availability of its competent staff that helped steer me in the right direction to find what I was looking for.
The Yocum Library helped me to gain the knowledge and perspective I needed to absorb and apply the information I was learning at RACC. My experience at Yocum empowered me to believe in higher education and to pursue my undergrad degree. “

“We do not grow absolutely, chronologically. We grow sometimes in one dimension, and not in another; unevenly. We grow partially. We are relative. We are mature in one realm, childish in another. The past, present, and future mingle and pull us backward, forward, or fix us in the present. We are made up of layers, cells, constellations.” Anaïs Nin
