• Pets should have access to shade and unlimited cool clean water at all times. • Never leave a pet in an unattended vehicle. • Panting means an animal is hot and is trying to cool itself and might need additional cooling such as a fan. • Doghouses can be especially deadly due to lack of air flow even if shaded. • When pets dig holes it means they are trying to find a cooler place. • Caged and chained animals are especially at risk.
