To reach ProQuest Central, go to Canvas, scroll
down to Yocum Library on the left side, and click on it. Scroll down to

Yocum Adds New Online Databases
Today a library can be open 24/7 for its patrons by accessing library resources online through the Internet. These online sources are available to patrons of libraries that subscribe to them.
The Yocum Library recently added three online databases. With these additions, we now provide faculty, students, staff, and alumni the ability to access over 45 online databases for research projects and general use.
To access these online resources, patrons must have their library's passwords. Members of the RACC community can find the current database passwords in the myRACC Portal.

Today, a library can be open 24/7 for its patrons by accessing library resources online through the Internet. At RACC's Yocum Library, you have access to numerous online databases, hundreds of e-books, a variety of e-magazines, and more.
These resources are available to Yocum Library patrons with access to the library's passwords. Members of the RACC community (students, faculty, and staff) can find the current database passwords in CANVAS. You can also find additional online assistance with YODA and CUFTS.
To discover which databases are best for your topic, ask YODA (Yocum Online Database Aid).

Yocum's Online Database of the Week: Gale Global Issues in Context

Yocum's Online Database of the Week: Gale's Opposing Viewpoints in Context
This week's online database is Gale's Opposing Viewpoints in Context where, according to the database web site, you can "discover pro/con perspectives from authoritative voices.
If you're working on a persuasive topic for an English Composition
essay, a speech for Fundamentals of Speech, or a persuasive assignment from any other class, you might want to check out this online database for opposing viewpoints on many major controversial issues.
"Opposing Viewpoints in Context is the premier online resource covering today’s hottest social issues, from capital punishment to immigration, to marijuana. Yocum's Online Database of the Week: The New York Times
The Yocum Library has an institutional subscription to The New York Times through its NYTimes Pass, which gives you complimentary access to NYTimes.com and eligible NYT apps for one year.
The pass does not include e-reader editions, Premium Crosswords or The New York Times Crosswords apps. NYTimes apps are not supported on all devices. Access to archived articles within the date range 1923-1980 is limited. Other restrictions may apply.
Create an account using your RACC email address. You can find the link to this database in the All Subjects section of the Yocum Library online databases.
